When sublimation heat transfer paper is printed by thermal transfer printing, the sublimation heat transfer paper used should have the following characteristics:
(1) It must have sufficient strength;
(2) The affinity to the color ink should be small, but the sublimation heat transfer paper should have good coverage of the ink;
(3) The sublimation heat transfer paper should not be deformed, brittle, or yellowed during the printing process.
(4) Sublimation heat transfer paper should have proper hygroscopicity. Too poor hygroscopicity will cause the color and ink to match up; excessive hygroscopicity will cause the deformation of the sublimation heat transfer paper. Therefore, the filler must be strictly controlled when producing sublimation heat transfer paper. It is more appropriate to use semi-fillers in the paper industry.
According to the above requirements, the sublimation heat transfer paper should meet the following standards:
Hygroscopicity 40-100g/㎡
Tear strength about 100kg/5x20cm
Air permeability 500---2000l/min
Weight 60--70g/㎡
pH 4.5--5.5
Dirt does not exist
The sublimation heat transfer paper is made of softwood pulp. Among them, the chemical pulp and mechanical pulp production accounted for each half. This can ensure that the decal paper will not become brittle and yellow when processed at high temperatures.
The printing method of floral paper
The printing of decal paper is the process of printing the pattern of the sublimation heat transfer paper by printing and screen printing. At present, most thermal transfer printing papers are printed by printing methods. There are four printing methods for decal printing, gravure printing, relief printing, offset printing, and screen printing. The printing method is used to print decals, and gravure printing is widely used. The screen printing method is suitable for the printing of small batches and multiple varieties of heat transfer decals and can be made in the printing and dyeing factory. It has the characteristics of low cost, fast speed, dense color, and easy operation. However, due to the use of water-soluble ink in the screen printing method, the three-dimensional sense of the pattern on the decal paper and the definition of the outline is not good, the pattern is relatively thick, and the characteristics of the heat transfer printing pattern cannot be exerted.
