There are many kinds of inks, including oil-based, water-based, synthetic resin type, powder, etc. With the development of printing technology, materials science, computer science, and various interdisciplinary subjects, new high-tech inks are also being used more and more. Most of them are some special products, such as banknotes, stamps and various bonds, invoices, promissory notes, and so on.
The main purpose of the new link for ticket printing is to improve its anti-counterfeiting performance. In addition to the normal expression of the corresponding hue, various new inks can also undergo special changes under the action of external light, heat, reagents, or magnetic fields. This is used as a means of identification. This type of ink achieves its anti-counterfeiting properties by changing the formulation of the ink or adding some special sensitive materials, such as photosensitive materials, heat-sensitive materials, magnetic materials, etc. to the ink.
Due to the difficulty in developing this ink and the high price of imported products, it is difficult to buy in the market, which also increases its anti counterfeit water based printing ink in printing. The anti-counterfeit water based printing ink is the same as ordinary ink in terms of use and is suitable for various printing machines, so it has good versatility. The following is an introduction to these inks.
1. Optical variable ink
Optically variable materials are widely used in the field of printing inks. According to their different uses, there are sleep-based inks, ink-based inks, plastic inks, and interference inks. The manufacturing method of this ink is generally to dissolve the photochromic pigment with a solvent to make micro pigment capsules and add a binder to the dissolved pigment according to different purposes.
A better manufacturing method is to dissolve the photochromic pigments into overlapping monomers, pulverize such polymer ultrafine particles, and make them into powders for use as pigments. Sex increased 10 times. These powders can be used as pigments in water-based inks, oil-based inks, and plastic inks, as well as in all binders.
1. Photochromic water-based screen printing ink
Water-based inks come out on top in the fiber products industry because of their safety and ease of use. Use this water-based ink for screen printing with 80-120 mesh, after drying at 100 °C for 1 min (preferably overnight drying), and then heating and bridging reaction at 130 °C for 3 minutes, you can get excellent fiber adhesion. 's products. The characteristics of this water-based ink are as follows:
● It can quickly develop color under the sun, and can be restored to a colorless state in a short time after shading (different colors vary, yellow after 2-3 minutes, cyan can be completed in an instant);
● Dispersion performance, and uniform color printing can be obtained;
● Good color rendering and rubbing fastness;
● This water-based ink is liquid;
● Good storage stability and easy operation.
2. Photochromic oil-based ink
Oil-based inks are mainly used for surface printing on plastic films, metal plates, etc. This ink is screen printed with 100-200 mesh. There are many resins used for adhesives: acrylic, epoxy resin, urethane, silicone modified resin, etc. As the solvent, there are esters, ketones, and the like, and mineral turpentine, petroleum, and the like. Adding photochromic material to these adhesives composed of resin and solvent can properly adjust the viscosity of screen printing ink to make oil-based screen printing ink.
3. Photochromic plastic ink
According to the survey, there are very few printing manufacturers of plastisol screen printing ink used in Japan at present. However, in some countries such as the United States, especially the T-shirt production industry uses this printing ink.
As a kind of ink that is not easy to dry, plastic ink often does not need to clean the screen printing plate, and the ink remaining on the plate can also be used the next day. This plastic ink is a screen printing ink made by expanding the ultrafine powder of vinyl acetate copolymer with a DOP plasticizer. Photochromic pigments can also be added to this plastic polymerization agent to make screen printing inks.
However, when the properties of the photochromic material itself are inhibited, the photochromic pigment itself is completely decomposed, and this phenomenon can be manifested after several days, so it is difficult to use it as a commodity. But if the plastic resin does not use vinyl acetate copolymer, but uses an ultrafine powder material with the same characteristics and controllable photochromic denaturation, it will be an ideal powder photochromic plastic ink.
4. Interference ink
This kind of ink is the most complex one in modern anti-counterfeiting ink, and it is a popular high-tech product at present. Optically variable ink is a reflective ink with pearlescent and metallic effects that cannot be reproduced by color copiers and electronic copiers. For products printed with optically variable inks, the ink patch presents a pair of colors. Such as magenta-blue, green-blue, cyan-green, etc.
If the pattern is tilted to 60°, the pattern can be transferred from one color to another. Since significant color drift can only occur when the ink film on the printed product is thick, its printing characteristics cannot be imitated by any other ink and printing method.
2. Fluorescent ink
Fluorescent ink is one of the most widely used inks in ticket printing, and its main component is fluorescent pigments. Fluorescent pigments are functional luminescent pigments. The difference from ordinary pigments is that when irradiated by external light (including ultraviolet light), they can absorb a certain form of energy, while excited photons release the absorbed energy in the form of low visible light, resulting in a different Hue fluorescence phenomenon. The combination of different colors of light forms extremely bright colors, and when the light stops irradiating, the luminescence phenomenon disappears, so it is called fluorescent pigments.
The fluorescent pigment is mixed with a polymer resin binder, solvent, and auxiliary agent, and the fluorescent ink can be obtained by grinding. This invisible ink only emits light under ultraviolet or infrared light. It is precise because of its switchable and hidden features and its inability to be accurately reproduced on color copiers that this ink is used in the specialty printing industry. applications are more common.
The fluorescence water based printing ink is suitable for printing on paper and vinyl films. Since inorganic phosphors emit light from crystals, if the pressure is too high, the crystals can be broken, thereby reducing the luminous brightness, so generally, letterpress printing is not used, and it is very suitable for screen printing and gravure printing.
The rheological properties of most fluorescent inks are like plastic flow and the viscosity is small, which determines that the printing process is very different from that of ordinary inks. When gravure printing and screen printing, in addition to paying attention to its viscosity, connecting material, dryness, and other characteristics, it is also necessary to pay attention to the adjustment of its printing pressure, so as not to make the printing pressure too large and affect the printing effect.
3. Thermal ink
Thermal ink is a special ink that can change the color of the pigment with a temperature change. Thermal materials can be divided into inorganic, organic, liquid crystal, etc., Liquid crystal thermal ink printing is a technology that people are more interested in and difficult to master. In terms of production method, it also belongs to the type of microcapsule structure ink, but in terms of the characteristics of liquid crystal ink, it mainly uses the characteristics of liquid crystal temperature-sensitive color change.
